I-CADMUS is built and validated in partnership with regulators, academics, and industry bodies. Our model: one institutional partner per country, plus deep alignment with international standards.
Each partner brings a distinct contribution — academic rigour, regulatory standing, industry validation, or international alignment.
The independent advocacy body that publishes I-CADMUS, operates the certification network, and runs the open-data publications register. Founded in 2018 to advocate for consumer transparency in seafood.
About the SCA →The first academic partner under our "one institutional partner per country" model. Bond leads research collaboration on aquaculture sustainability and delivers the certification programme to the Australian academic and industry community.
Visit Bond's I-CADMUS programme →The Fisheries Research and Development Corporation and the AS 5300 Australian Standard for fish names provide the regulatory and naming foundation that I-CADMUS aligns with in the Australian market.
Read alignment notes →The international food code maintained jointly by the FAO and WHO. I-CADMUS is designed to align with Codex traceability and labelling standards, providing a cross-jurisdictional bridge between national regulations.
View Codex alignment →Rather than building a global academic membership, I-CADMUS partners with a single institutional anchor in each market — to ensure delivery is local, accountable, and sustainable.
A single partner per market avoids the dilution that comes with sprawling international academic networks. The institutional anchor commits to local certification delivery, regional case-study research, and direct engagement with the country's regulator and industry bodies.
In return, the partner receives co-branded certification authority, direct access to the framework's primary author team, and joint publication rights on regional research.
Bond University is the inaugural partner. We are actively in conversation with universities in five further markets across Asia-Pacific, Europe, and North America — with a target of seven anchored partners by end of 2027.
Express interest from your institution →Whether you're a university, a retailer, or a national regulator — there's a partnership track designed for your role and your contribution.
For universities and research institutions. Becomes the anchored I-CADMUS partner for your country, with co-branded certification authority and joint research rights.
For retailers, foodservice operators, processors, and distributors. Adopt the framework across your operations and join the public certified-partner directory.
For government regulators and policy bodies. Receives the policy playbook, custom briefings, and direct access to the author team for legislative consultation.
Our partnership process is intentionally short. Most academic and regulatory partnerships move from initial enquiry to signed agreement within 8–12 weeks.
Submit the contact form or email partnerships@i-cadmus.org. Tell us what your institution does and what role you'd like to play.
A 60-minute briefing with the I-CADMUS team. We share the framework in depth and walk through the partnership track that fits your context.
We agree on contributions, deliverables, and any co-branding terms. Most partnership agreements are 4–8 pages and reviewed quickly.
Partnership launches publicly. Quarterly check-ins, annual review, and direct access to the author team for ongoing collaboration.
Whether you're a university looking to anchor the framework in your country, an industry leader committing to integrity, or a regulator drafting next year's policy — we'd like to hear from you.
