Common questions

Things people ask before they enrol.

Do I need a science background to get certified?+
No. The course is built for consumers first — the same framework that works for regulators works for someone choosing dinner. If you can read a label and ask one good question, you can earn the certification.
How long does the certification take?+
Roughly 12–15 hours total at a comfortable pace: 6–8 hours of curriculum, 2–3 hours of case-study practice, and a 90-minute final assessment. You can spread it over weeks; nothing expires.
Is the certification recognised industry-wide?+
It is issued by the Seafood Consumer Association and aligned with industry standards including AS 5300 naming. Bond University is the inaugural academic partner, with one institutional partner per country planned as the framework expands internationally.
How is this different from HACCP?+
HACCP keeps food safe once you trust what you've got. I-CADMUS asks the prior question — is the product what it claims to be? Food safety has to start with truth. The two work together; I-CADMUS sits in front.
What happens if I fail the final assessment?+
Two attempts are included with every enrolment. Between attempts you can revisit any module. If a third attempt is needed, a small fee applies and we recommend a one-on-one tutorial first.
Can my whole team enrol together?+
Yes. The Business tier includes 5 seats; the Industry tier is org-wide. Bulk discounts are available — get in touch for a custom quote.
