Common questions

Things people ask about the programme.

Do I need a science background to participate?+
No. The programme is being designed for consumers first — the same framework that works for regulators works for someone choosing dinner. No science background will be required.
How long does the certification take?+
Roughly 12–15 hours total at a comfortable pace: 6–8 hours of curriculum, 2–3 hours of case-study practice, and a 90-minute final assessment. You can spread it over weeks; nothing expires.
Will the programme be recognised industry-wide?+
The programme is being developed by the Seafood Consumers Association Ltd and will be aligned with industry standards including AS 5300 naming. It is being designed for international expansion with one institutional partner per country planned as the framework grows.
How is this different from HACCP?+
HACCP keeps food safe once you trust what you've got. I-CADMUS asks the prior question — is the product what it claims to be? I-CADMUS complements HACCP, TACCP and VACCP by helping identify authenticity, fraud, threat and vulnerability risks across the seafood supply chain.
What happens if I fail the final assessment?+
When the programme launches, two attempts will be included. Between attempts you will be able to revisit any module. If a third attempt is needed, a small fee will apply and we will recommend a one-on-one tutorial first.
Can my whole team register together?+
Yes. The Business tier includes 5 seats; the Industry tier is org-wide. Bulk discounts are available — get in touch for a custom quote.
